五 | 在舞台上，孔繁森有多个走的动作，走向雪山、走进藏族百姓家、谢幕时从人群中走出来。饰演孔繁森的祝玉芹说，他始终带着采风时走过那串脚印的感受，“步伐坚定，一步步往前。” 祝玉芹也来自山东，他额头宽厚，笑起来淳朴亲和。从十多岁学山东梆子，演过不少戏，他最喜欢的还是这一部。 但最初接到角色时，祝玉芹心里很忐忑。“怕把人物演砸了。”拿到剧本后，他看第一场就用了整整一上午，最后几页始终看不下去。“看到那儿就开始哭，把剧本放下，在屋里转一圈，调整情绪再看。” 最打动他的，是孔繁森母亲那句台词：“三儿，咱不去不行吗？娘老了，娘走的时候怕见不了你呀！娘想你呀！”当时孔繁森母亲已年近九旬，不知此次和儿子分别，是暂别还是永别。 祝玉芹反复揣摩孔繁森的照片、录音等资料，既求形似也求神似。他注意到，孔繁森在西藏多是席地而坐，和藏族同胞围成一圈拉家常、问困难、送药看病。“当时条件差，毡房里不一定有小凳子，他就把风衣一撩，和大家坐在一起。” “我们重点刻画母子情、父女情、夫妻情、民族情，希望让观众进入剧场，记住的是一位完整的山东汉子。
